Stung by an agency?

Well, it's true.

We've been speaking with a lot of brand owners in York and Leeds over the last few weeks specifically on their experience with marketing agencies. I know, I've been stung in a past life.

What do we mean? Usually, almost exclusively services have been promised and expectations have seriously under-delivered. In short, ROI has not been delivered.

That, my friends, is the stinger.

The sales pitch from the negotiator to the decision-maker has been convincing, case studies have been reflective of past successes even. But 6 months down the line, you're 12 grand deep into a digital campaign with nothing but your shiny contract (and it's usually digital) to show.

The problem seems to be with larger agencies, not exclusively but there is a lack of trickle-down knowledge. The founders have set aside their Porsche Cayenne's outside and focus only on the big sales calls. Their initial knowledge, that nurtured the first saplings of business, has been locked away for a few years and the techniques are now no longer effective.

Facebook approved agencies are pulling in client's with this blue sparkling badge, for they have been taught by Facebook.

He remembered your birthday when no-one else did…

This is the second major problem. This is an alarm, a sound louder than Trevor Mcdonalds "BONG" for us Growth Hackers. Everything Facebook suggests for optimisation is built for non-replicable success. Much like the old pub fruity, they get you with an easy return - then they rinse you. As someone who has attended a couple of Facebook official sessions, I can vouch that their methodology to new budding marketeers is to feed the machine for occasional wins.

The Growth Guys don't like occasional wins.

We like guaranteed wins. Like our clients.

The methodology we implement is built from non-official guidelines. It is data lead and repeatable. Most of all it is ROI focussed.

Why?

Because it has to be Jeff. Otherwise, what is the point?

So to all business owners out there, who have been stung but need a solution for conversions or lead generation or email acquisition here's our advice...

AVOID GENERALISTS.
AVOID FACEBOOK APPROVED.

If it isn't us you get to help you grow your business, keep those facts in mind...

and if it is us you want...

Well, great shout.
